I strive to have a diverse lab, and have published on diversity issues facing students and teachers in STEM classrooms. I am an active participant in Columbia University’s “CU Speaks OUT,” where I serve as a faculty advocate for LGTBQ students. I welcome potential students regardless of race, religion, gender identification, sexual orientation, age, or disability status. As long as you are a creative thinker who is respectful to others, you are welcome here.
That being said, if you are a Red Sox fan, you might have some trouble.
